White nectarine, muscatel, fruits wine, multi-floral and intense
About This Tea
Each garden and slope section in Darjeeling has its own signature micro-climate, fragrance and flavor characteristics. While cultivar selection is a factor, the real complexity of Darjeeling tea is to be explored in the diversity of the Himalayan terrain and its magical effects on tea quality.
The Shree Dwarika Garden in the high northern section of Darjeeling has become renowned for its elegant and fragrant organic teas. The garden was planted in 1856 making it one of the oldest in the region. Shree Dwarika has several clonal varieties and vintage China Bush sections. It is situated 1200-1,600m above sea level in the northernmost region of Darjeeling and is surrounded by a thick forest with the Chota Rangeet River flowing at the bottom. Cold winds blowing from the Kanchenjunga Mountain range lend a special flowery and citrussy tea rose character.
